At the Same Moment, Around the World by Clotilde Perrin is such a lovely book for explaining the concept of time and time zones to kids.
What is happening in your time zone? The one thing I think is really special about this book is that the author manages to get one of each of the 24 hour time zones in, and then gives an explanation of time keeping and how time is worked out.
This book is really sweet and the illustrations are just blow your mind!
If you imagine when you were a child digging away in the sandpit, your family members would no doubt make jokes about you ‘digging to China’ or coming out the other side of the world, but with this book your child really can explore what is happening around the world in one moment.
What are the people doing in Vietnam or even in Paris? The book displays, from day to night, each of the 24 hour time zones in the most beautiful way with stunning illustrations and imagery.
This really is one to add to the Christmas list if you don’t already have it, and certainly one to open up all sorts of fun with your kids!
