Soooo, meal plan week 3 didn’t really go well. I did say that it might be a bit tough to stay “on plan” but what I didn’t anticipate was that we would only eat one out of 7… and that wasn’t even the weekly Chinese!
It was such a busy week because of half term so ended up being a series of late returns home and eating out, which is fine, but there really is no point in me giving you a run down of what we thought was great and what we didn’t like!
I think for this week I’m going to recycle some of the things on the meal plan so if you have tried anything from last week then this meal plan might not be for you!
Monday :: Sausage & Veg tray bake from Chelsea Messy Apron
This was one of the dishes that I was sure was going to be a HUGE hit, so I had slipped this back on to the meal plan here. It’s by Chelsea Messy Apron and it just looks for yummy!
Tuesday :: Butternut squash & stilton filo Sunday Roast from Tesco Food.
I really wanted to try this last week and we bought the butternut squash so… yeah, it’s back on the list! It’s from Tesco food, meant to be a Sunday roast but I’m all for breaking the rules!
Wednesday :: Slow cooker Spag Bol
I’m in London on Wednesday for an event so I’m going to be banging all the ingredients for this in my slow cooker and leaving it for Adam to sort out. One of my fave recipes is my mum’s spag bol, which you can serve with courgetti (see pic) or normal spaghetti.
Thursday :: Pizza
I’m not here (again) so Adam is in charge and when he’s in charge that usually means one of two things: pizza and a slightly later bedtime.
So with that in mind I’ve bought some rather lush looking pizzas and I’m going to plonk them in the freezer ready for demolition on Thursday. I ruddy love these ones from Goodfella I worked with them a while back and I’ve never not enjoyed them! I also highly recommend Chicago Town! Hopefully there will be one left for me when I get home!
Friday :: Take away night!
You should know the drill by now peeps, its a party in our house on a Friday.
Saturday :: Birds Eye nugget taco boats (my recipe)
The boys loved this when I created it for Birds Eye back in 2017. It’s still a family staple and we have it frequently. Such a yum twist and done in 20mis, which is perfect as Adam and I are out OUT.
Sunday :: Spinach stuffed chicken breasts by Cooktoria
I MEAN. These just look insane and there are only 4 ingredients which basically means it’s the best thing ever. I did buy a HUGE bag of spinach for the recipe on my meal plan last week but only used a handful so there is loads left for this beaut. Check out the recipe here by Cooktoria.
All of your meals sound and look so good. The sausage and veg tray bake would be something my girls would love.x
