Last month I visited Harrogate Nursery Fair and came across this adorable British clothing brand, Baby Acorn. Now, if you are a regular reader you will already know that I love to champion gender neutral British brands. Don’t get me wrong, I have my favourite ‘girls’ shops like I love gorgeous, and Little Hanbury for boys, but I think it’s so important that we make options available for gender neutrality, after all, who wants to always be the same?
Anyway, back to Baby Acorn. What a really love about this brand is that it is aimed at providing gender neutral clothing for babies WITHOUT a being boring, bland or beige! The details on the clothes are just darling, and all so well thought out for the comfort of your precious bundle. I also love how the range has been designed to make a wonderful layette gift, with matching blankets, hats and rompers for each of the beautiful patterns – but if you felt like getting funky, the patterns are easily mixed and matched, complimenting each other in the cutest way. My favourite pattern is Forest Fox, not only do we have a big of a fox thing in our house thanks to one of our favourite books ,Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl, but I love Aqua. It’s a style you rarely see it in baby collections, after all it’s not blue enough to be a ‘boy colour’ (insert rolling eyes here) but it’s not ‘girlie’ enough for girls – utter rubbish!
This range is a must have spring/summer gift for any little baby, brace the colour without it being pink or blue!

Wow, lovely post! I like the baby wearing. It’s such a great way to be able to get things done and your baby enjoys the ride. Thanks for sharing.
It’s easy to see why you appreciate Baby Acorn. Providing gender neutral clothes that aren’t completely boring with bland color and lack of design is a challenge. It’s good to see they met the challenge well.
