We are so lucky in Norfolk to have lots of fun places to take the children over Half Term and beyond. We are spoilt for choice when it comes to heading outside – our beaches, and country parks are some of the best in the country. But it’s February half term, and the weather isn’t exactly tropical, so being outside may not be everyone’s idea of fun. Here are a few of my favourite picks to keep the kiddies entertained no matter what the weather throws at us…
BeWILDerwood – Boggle Wish Bonfire
BeWILDerwood is the most fun place for kids of all ages (and grown ups, too!) – the slides, zip wires, the Sky Maze, tree-top climbing frames and, of course, crafting and storytelling fun with the Boggles and Twiggles. This half term you can come along for all the usual fun and also the Boggle Wish Bonfire where you can make a wish for a loved one on a pinecone and send it into the bonfire
Norwich Castle – Kings, Queens, and Dirty Rascals
Visit Norwich Castle this week and learn to defend the Realm in a special fight school with TV fight director Keith Wallis. It will be capers galore all week, including crafting, royal tours and Scallywags School
Wroxham Barns – Lamb Feeding at the Junior Farm
Come along and help feed the lambs every day this week at the Junior Farm. Lamb feeding times are 11am, 1:30pm and 3:30pm. Enjoy seeing the other animals on the farm when the lambs are resting, or head to Piggy’s Play barn for some soft play fun
Lynn Museum – Spot the Scarab Trail
Head to the Lynn Museum to join in with the Scarab Trail. The team at the museum have hidden scarab beetles all around the museum. Find them all to win a small prize
Museum of Norwich at the Bridewell – Chocolate Fun
Follow the Cocoa bean trail and Valentine’s card or chocolate box for a loved one
Norwich Puppet Theatre – Perfect Partners Workshop
Giving children the opportunity to make their own puppet characters: Come along on February 15th to join with with a Superheroes and Supervillains workshop, or to the Chinese Dragons workshop on the 16th.
Oh my goodness how amazing does this look! What a fun place for kids to get to head out to and play at. Norfolk always sounds like such a wonderful place, with some amazing things to do.
Norfolk seems like an awesome and stunning place, especially for family travel, Harriet. Your sons must have had lots of fun there! 🙂
