Boys and girls, YOU have made my dreams come true. My dreams to earn a really good living and not have to struggle for money every month, my dreams to be at home with my kids more and my dreams to feel like I’m making a difference to people and ACTUALLY achieving something every day. Without people reading Toby&Roo, without people following my socials, without the comments and the likes and everything else, I wouldn’t be able to do any of what I do.

OH MY GOODNESS!!! How generous! This is INSANE. Quite literally the dream Christmas (or life) haul for my entire family, including my 8 cousins + 6 second cousins & my 98y/o great nanny. This would certainly be a year to remember if I won this on top of my current situation:
I’m tube fed, bed bound, paralysed (+more) with chronic & now life- threatening illnesses, I’ve died twice, in winter 2016 I defined death & the odds of survival- I was put on life support & pulled through! This festive season is a special one, I’m not in ICU and I hope to be home for the holidays [so far so good!] instead of living in a hospital or hospice and splitting up the family like the last 3 years. Life is the best gift I could ever ask for, but this would be the icing on the cake!

Hatchimal Surprise: my mum’s best friends Flo’s daughter adores & collects hatchimals- it’s her holy communion soon (and as I can’t go due to my crazy life) it would be lovely to gift her this— eggs are a sign of worth & when they hatch it is a sign of new life & new beginnings that’s the meaning of the New Year & it somewhat relates to an Italian Catholics life after holy communion. I love symbolism.
Mummy Loves Organics candle: wow this is stunning & has a great cosy, winter warmer feel. My best friend who was my dance teacher, has seen my entire journey & been with me throughout. She’s currently pregnant with her 2nd child after a tough start- she lost a baby & 2 family members in 2016, but now she’s blessed with bringing another life into the world after all the the heartache which goes with PCOS. The candle would represent her loved ones spiritually; lighting up the darkness on the bad days. It would also signify rebirth & rejoice. In spiritualism, candle light is known for relaxation & cleansing of the energies, chakras & soul. Once first lit while asking or thanking the universe it will be a physical representation of the universe & angels guiding the family down a new pathway once gifted with new life.

Love a bit of Rockin around the Christmas tree. Never fails to get us all feeling Christmassy, up and dancing around. It’s tradition to play Driving home for Christmas on the way to my folks. The kids rolling their eyes at us in the back of the car as we, most embarrassing of parents, bop and sing along.

I’ve not had the confidence to enter something like this for a long time. Bad breakup which sent me into such a downward spin. Looking after 2 monkeys this year on my own. Ive got to almost the end and I can say we did it. Im still here alot less broken. The kids are really good. Not only did we make it. But they are doing really well so don’t feel such a failure these days. Some days are hard. But doing one little thing really helps. I have to help my dad who had a back op. My sister who broke her hand and partner has acute lukemia. That and the kids keep me busy. Another family member with cancer passed away at 19. Anxiety over money issues and not knowing what the he’ll to do in life. Started using instagram to make me feel better and your posts really helped. You and your family are super cute but real and in the world of perfection so refreshing. So thanks for making me feel more normal. Good luck to all those getting involved. Merry Christmas everyone. My 5 year old son is in year 1 at school and he we went to see him in his nativity play today. Randomly, the stars sang ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ from Trolls and there was even an instrumental interlude from Les Mis in it! His homework this week is that he has to complete an act of kindness advent calendar, writing about how he has paid kindness forward each day and how it made him and the recipient feel (quite deep for a 5 year old I know!). I’ll show him the videos and read this blog to him once he gets over the sickness bug he has come home to with.
My favourite Christmas song is ‘When Santa got stuck up the Chimney’ No matter what season, it has always been a song that has calmed said 5 year old through the years, be it when he is poorly or sad or tired. Plus, his 3 year old sister (who is Edith to a tee!) is going to be elf helper to her best friend who will play Santa in the pre school Christmas performance and we’re practising lots in the hope that she stays on stage more than 5 minutes like she did last year when she was a donkey!

I couldn’t choose just one as these are my favourites for totally different reasons. The first one is ‘Fairytale of New York’ by The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl, its not Christmas until me and my husband hear this and sing along as loud as possible! The second it ‘I Believe in Father Christmas’ by Greg Lake, I cant listen to this without getting goose-bumps and I find its message is more poignant every year. I’d love to win this so I could share it with my friends and family, I already know who would love each item and they all deserve to be spoilt rotten!

There are so many Christmas songs I enjoy, but I think one of my absolute faves is Fairytale of New York, although not as upbeat, its just nice.
I would love to win to give my children a Christmas they couldn’t even imagine, anything which didn’t suit us I would pass onto those in need to ensure everyone has a Happy Christmas.
As is the same with so many, I love the Christmas season. My love for Christmastime has increased tenfold now that I get to see the lights, decorations, and share in the novelty with my daughter. This is her first Christmas, and the holiday means so much more to me now that my husband and I have our little girl to share it with. I love SO many carols, but What Child Is This has a special place in my heart.

I love Driving Home For Christmas by Chris Rea. My Dad was a long distance lorry driver and worked away for weeks at a time when I was little and I always imagine this is what he sung when he was “driving home for christmas” ?? jut makes me excited like I was way back then.
