Now that the weather is really beginning to improve I’ve started dressing the boys for Spring more and more. I’ve not really noticed how few clothes Roo has that fit him as he’s in his school uniform now for 5 out of 7 days, so of course you tend to only need one or two outfits. Now that the Easter holidays are here I have noticed a huge lack of weather appropriate clothing for him. His t-shirts are short and almost baring belly, his jeans and trousers are just so tight that they are squishing him in all the wrong places – it’s like someone gave him growing beans and he just can’t stop!
It’s a total contrast to Toby who has a draw full of clothes, and I do mean FULL. Not only does he have the odd bit that was bought just for him but he also has all of Reuben’s hand me downs and that means A LOT of clothes.
Now that too is a bit older I’ve started to ask his opinion more when it comes to clothes, though I still do all the shopping for him and will just pick up stuff I like. I picked these spring looks with him and he loves them all!
Here are our 3 spring looks for boys 2016:
Look 1:
H&M bomber jacket – love the pattern on this, it is just too cool!
H&M relaxed jeans – Roo prefers relaxed jeans as he can run about more easily in them.
Jumping Dog tee – Jumping Dog has fast become one of our favourite brands with their simple looks, stylish characters and ethical brand.
Carrement Beau Peach tee – Love the colour of this, very Spring trend!
Slowers Espadrilles – These are the best espadrilles I’ve ever come across – just divine!
Look 2:
H&M Patterned Chino shorts – these are just too cool!
Jumping Dog tee – Both boys are crazy about funky animal tees at the moment and the best part about these is that we can colour them in with the rewash-able pens!
Jumping Dog jacket – Roo really likes interactive clothes (he has had a few Tootsa Macginty sweaters over the years that move and open) so this really appeals to him – the pockets pull out to create wings – decepticon wings according to him!
Clarks Canvas shoes – white and dinosaur – Toby actually has the dinosaur version of these and he loves them!
Look 3:
H&M Straight chinos – this is a staple for his Spring/summer wardrobe, he find them really comfy and easy to dress up or down.
Jumping Dog Baseball Jacket – Roo has just had to pass on his baseball jacket to toby and is gutted about it, so this is on his wish list!
Guzzi Slip ons – Roo is a massive fan of bright coloured accessories – he has a lovely jacket from Doodle Do that is BRIGHT yellow and he adores it, so these would be a superb pick for him!
Cyrillus Cactus Print tee – this is so cute and would team with any of the above jackets, trousers or even shoes which makes it versatile and sweet – just what we’re after!
So for those that think boy’s fashion isn’t as fun as girls fashion – forget it! It’s just as much fun and the best part of all is that a lot of “boys” clothing is actually gender neutral too!!

Loving these looks. I especially adore look 3 and am totally in love with the jacket!
Isn’t it wonderful Helen? I love Jumping Dog!
There are some great looks here π i can’t wait shopping for more boys clothes x
It’s great fun isn’t it?! I can’t wait to see what you pick for your little guy when he arrives.
These are some lovely outfits. Boys fashion has come on so much lately. You really can find the cutest things for them now. My little boy got a pair of Levi jeans and they are the cutest things ever on him!
I’m absolutely loving the shoes you’ve featured! I want every pair for Lamb x
What some fantastic outfit ideas, I love the change in seasons to buy some new clothing. x
Thanks Sarah x
These outfits are all so adorable! I’d wear the jacket in Look 1 myself! If it came in my size that is.
Love your kids style! It’s so much fun dressing little boys when you look for something a little different. My little man is only 2 but he loves picking out his clothes every day!
those jackets are so nice! the h&m one is my favourite. h&m are on point at the moment
I love look two, all these pieces are lovely. I really need to buy my little boy some new outfits too as he is growing so much and clothes we brought him at Christmas he has already outgrown x
These outfits would make a young boy look like a young dapper! Very fab.
Thanks Angela!
I’m loving the pattern on those chino shorts. Too cute! The canvas shoes are great too.
These looks are adorable you will have a well dressed little fella xxx
You’ve picked out some great outfits. Kids clothes are so trendy these days! xxx
I love the patterned chino shorts. I’ve got a thing for those, but N’s not keen and prefers plain ones. I’m stocking up on summer wardrobe too because all of his shorts from last year were age 4-5 and had been through 2 summers, and similarly his t-shirts are looking a bit short. It’s hard to know how many to get because although he doesn’t need much through school terms, he will over the summer.
I love that tropical bomber jacket. Its cool, artsy and can elevate any outfit, I wish it came in an adult size so I could have one.
Love these looks! Those slip ons are so cute!
I love the jumping dog Tshirt and the scorpion shorts, so different but very cute x
These are cute outfits for boys and would look lovely on my nephews π
Ooh I love all these looks. My eldest son, at 13 chooses his own clothes and Pickle, who is 3 loves anything with Super Heroes! I have been looking for new clothes for him today actually. Kaz x
The school holidays always catch me out with the kids’ wardrobes – as you say, in term time they only have 2 days a week to wear their own clothes then suddenly I need to dress them for weeks at a time!
Such lovely picks. I really want a little boy in the future, there’s so many nice boys clothes.
Love your choices especially the shoes they are so cute!!!!
Perfect looks!! My newphew would look so cool in those!!

I love all of these looks, my boys would have loved these when they were younger especially the younger one x
Oh those printed shorts are gorgeous! I’ve always been glad to have girls for the choices in the shops but having seen this selection and having come out of shops empty handed, I’m not so sure. You have a very good eye for boys’ fashion.
You’ve picked some great things here. Love looks 1 and 2. Think the jacket and shorts are my fave x
I love the Jumping Dog stuff, the faces on them are priceless… I feel like there are so many outfit options for boys, girls stuff is always so prissy. My daughter loves more grungy, boyish things but with a girly twist, she hates that at her age there seems to be nothing that seems to cater for her tastes xx
Great selection as always Harriet! H&M’s children’s sections have gotten really good lately xx
Love your choices, but I think my favourite is number 2. π
I love all the shoes. Just so cute! I can’t wait to have a kid and buy all the clothes π
Great outfits, I love the jacket in the final look. Boys clothes are so much better than they ever used to be! x
These look great, I love the tiger tshirt and the cactus tshirt. In fact, I like everything you have picked !
You picked out some great things! I love the bomber jacket xx
I love that bomber jacket from H&M too! The pattern is very cool indeed π
I like your choices! Especially the first jacket on the left, so nice.
These are some great looks! I’m loving the scorpion shorts – my son would LOVE those!
Loving the outfit ideas for boys here. Especially the first look.
Having two girls, I haven’t experienced having to buy for a boy and I’m always told its not as much fun. But these looks great and lots to choose from x #BlogClubUk
