I love Mother’s Day, it’s such a special day and as my mum really has been my constant throughout the years I relish the opportunity to give back to her and just let her know how special I *really* think she is. It doesn’t have to be something that is majorly expensive, not at all, rather that it is nice to make her feel thought of. I’ve gone for some rather alternate ideas for gifts for Mother’s Day this year, tying to allow to every budget or taste. The only thing I can say for sure is that any of these things would put a huge smile on my face on that special Mothering Sunday.
Here’s my gift ideas for Mother’s Day:
A stunning dress from Bryony & Co (formerly Poppy England) – this style of fashion is so in at the moment and truly gorgeous, I love the outfits from Bryony, their fabric is stunning and adds a big hit of vintage chic to the wardrobe.
An engraved spoon – this are a really sweet and unique little keep sake for mums, especially those that love a good cuppa. My mum has often told me one of her prized possessions is an engraved glass from my wedding and I think this is really similar.
Spa day vouchers – this is one that I have done for the last few years for my mum. They don’t have to cost the earth and it’s a perfect opportunity to spend some one on one time with your mum whilst you relax and chill out together.
Afternoon tea for two – another love opportunity to spend time together with some tasty cakes, sandwiches and a bit of luxury. I love afternoon tea, and it’s often possible to combine the spa and afternoon tea together.
Relaxation colouring books – Mum’s work so hard it’s nice to have something to relax the mind. I bought my mum (and Adam) colouring books for Xmas and I have had the odd sneaky colour of them myself!
Green People Facial Gift Set – you know by now (if you follow the blog that is!) that I adore Green People. I have yet to come across a product that doesn’t smell sublime, make your skin feel wonderful and the presentation of this set makes it a winner for me. I love that this is organic too, perfect for mums with sensitive skin as well.
Cafetiรจre & coffee set – if had to make it in the edit didn’t it really?! My obsession for coffee is too great to not include this! Now, you could make your own gift set of coffee and cafetiรจre or you could buy one, but it’s a gift that would win you bonus points with me any day!
The Mother Book from Selfish Mother – Apart from the fact that two of my articles are in this (what more do you want?!) this book is going to be epic. It is packed to the rafters with wonderful blog posts, all collated to make you laugh, cry and nod your head in agreement. A winner with any mother.
Mother tee from Selfish Mother – I love these. I have my mother sweatshirt and it has been a staple for the last year. It’s just perfect. Not only is it super comfy but it give back too with proceeds going to charity to help other women. Win win.
Lush! Bath product gift set – This is a pretty new love affair for me. I keep reading about Lush! in a facebook group I’m part of, but I never realised how divine their products smell, how luxurious they feel or how much fun they are! The kids love them, I love them… And I love the gift sets for Mother’s Day!
So there you have it! My suggestions for what to get Mum for Mother’s Day this year, may you all have a fabulous day filled with love, happiness and sparkles.
