I’ve never been much of a fan of boxing people into his and her guides, after all gender doesn’t preempt your interests, so I thought this year I would have a bit of fun and categorise my Christmas gift guides by hobbies and preferences, starting with my own hobby come profession, so I give you my top gifts for bloggers in 2015.
- A waterproof iPhone housing from Watershot £75-90 depending on colour – This is definitely on my must have list and I recently bought one for myself (for business needs of course) and I’m going to be sharing all of my snaps from our Center Parcs trip in a couple of weeks. The housing allows you to use your camera effectively under water, even up to dive worthy depths. This is a serious must have gift for a travel, lifestyle or photography blogger.
- Mini octopus style tripod for phones and cameras from AFUNTA £10 – This tripod makes a fab Christmas stocking filler for bloggers or even photography fans. I use mine to take pictures of myself and the kids together so I’m not always behind the camera. I love that the ‘legs’ can wrap around branches or change the position of the phone.
- Blogging conference tickets from various places £60+ – The are so many different conferences for bloggers and they are a complete hub of activity and knowledge for bloggers of all kinds. Whether you are a pro or hobbyist a conference can give you networking opportunities and help you hone every skill from SEO knowledge to design talents. My favourites were Blogtacular and Brit Mums.
- Content is Queen PDF print from The Bloggers Collective £1.90 – I love this print and have it hanging over my desk at home to remind myself that above all else, content is the most important thing for my blog. This is a great gift for a creative blogger.
- The Bloggers Planner £22.00 – I have personally requested one of these for Christmas this year because I just know that my own diary won’t cut it now that I have so much work to do. This planner is designed by bloggers, for bloggers and has everything from post planning to stats trackers to inspirational quotes to keep you going!
- Stylish notebooks from Paperchase £5-11 – Ahh I love a good notebook, I have shed loads and I use them to jot down work I am doing for clients, errant ideas for post and plans for my social media.
- A selfie stick from Anker £10.99 – Sorry to say, every good bloggers kit involves a selfie stick. It makes life easier for you and gives you the chance to get out from behind the camera while seeing what you are doing. I love the Anker version because its adjustable, extendable and bluetooth, the ultimate seflie stick.
- App store voucher from Apple (or Android if you aren’t using Apple products) £10+ – Assuming the blogger is using a MAC computer or they have an iPhone or iPad, this can be extremely helpful. Apps aren’t always free or even cheap but they can be essential for bloggers to maximise what they do.
- #Blogger t-shirt £11.99 from Zazzle – There are such a range of stylish and fun blogger t-shirts with the most hilarious slogans. Zazzle has a brilliant selection, and it’s one of those easy gifts that any blogger will love.
- Blog, Inc by Joy Cho £10.68 – I love this book, not only does it have a tonne of inspirational advice and handy tips for new (and seasoned bloggers) but it is easy to read and regarded as one of the best blogger manuals of the last few years.
So thats everything on the list – these are the best things to get for a blogger in your family or friend’s circle but if they already have most of these then there are a tonne of other things that any blogger would love – Etsy is a brilliant place to find gifts for bloggers or techies at this time of year!
