If you have followed the blog for a time then you will know that I’m really passionate about children’s art. I love really gorgeous art and I think that too often children have over commercialised pictures in their rooms that aren’t really any good from a parents point of view. Not to say that there is anything wrong with commercialised but, where is the magic?
I discovered this wonderful artist Jahna Vashti from Portland, Oregon, on Etsy last week and I just LOVE her work. Not only is her art so full of magic and whimsy, but the detailing is beautiful and inspiring.
Jahna is inspired by so many different things and in a way I feel like that is part of how she captures such a wonderful charm in her paintings because don’t children take inspiration from the simplest of things and create wonderful games and such with their imaginations? That’s why this is the perfect art for children – the magic.
I know that the boys would love this kind of artwork in their rooms and they would spend days making up stories… well Reuben would!
