I just can’t get enough of this wetsuit and as we are frequenters to our nearest Center parcs and we take at least one holiday a year, this imperative for keeping Edith warm in cooler water temperatures.
Come on mummy, feed me! Wetsuits and water do not diminish a baby’s desire to eat CONSTANTLY!

Last weekend we went to Center Parcs for Reuben’s birthday (I’ll be sharing all my pictures and a bit about our trip and how to make the most of mini breaks with the kids in the next few days). I know Center Parcs can be seen as a bit of a parenting cliché, after all, it’s become the number one place to take your kids in the UK if you are a parent looking for an easy break to enjoy without any hassle, where everything is at your finger tips.
We absolutely love it and we always go for birthdays or special occasions if we can.
Anyway, this time was a little different, because I’ve never been before with such a young baby – Edith is only 7 weeks old and of course that meant that we would need extra things for her to be able to join in with the rest of the family and go baby swimming, like this amazing wet suit from Water Babies and Happy Nappy. It was essential that, for such a young baby to be able to join us in the pool (which is pretty warm for the most part, but not as warm as a hydrotherapy pool), Edith had something that would keep her core body temperature as it should be, without over heating her.
The wetsuits from Water Babies are fleece lined so they keep your baby warm, even in colder water temperatures. The major difference (and something that so many people don’t know) is that most wetsuits (or the all in one swimwear that you buy on the highstreet and you put your baby in to keep them warm) are designed to keep your baby cool in the water. They are often meant to be used in places where the temperature is going to be super high, so your kiddos need SPF protection and something to help keep them cool… now maybe you can understand why your little one is always so darn cold in the local pool huh?!
