I came across Elks a few weeks ago and since then I haven’t been able to stop thinking about them! I am totally swooning over their stunning childrens wear and handmade designer image.
One of the things that makes them so unique is the fact that everything, from design to manufacture is done in Ireland by traditional craftspeople. The concept behind the brand, started up by a musician and composer (clearly their artistic flare doesn’t stop at music!), is to create an artisan range of children’s clothing made the traditional way, upholding the traditional Irish values of handing down fine clothing from one child to another. Elks use materials like handwoven Donegal tweed, beautiful Irish linen, rare alpaca wool and the finest merino to create their products and make them the luxurious items they are.
There is really something so magical, so nostalgic about the brand that I felt I had to share it with you, hence the picture overload! If you want to find out more then you can visit the Elks site here.
