I have to confess when my Mum came home and after a shopping trip to Lakeland with a car boot full of new cookware and random gadgets and gizmos, I was less excited and more ‘Oh my goodness where will all of this fit in our kitchen!?’ Now though, I couldn’t be more pleased with most of the purchases, especially the awesome cake pop maker, which I was convinced was the biggest waste of cash ever!
Now I love it!
Not only do me and the boys make a variety of little cake balls and brownie balls to decorate and make into cake pops, but we also get to indulge in making one of mine and my husbands favourite nibbly treats: Donuts!
You can make so many thing with this one machine and every time the balls come out uniform and ready to decorate. The kids are still enjoying the benefits of baking, but instead of a cake that take 30-40 minutes to cook they have delicious bite sized balls in… wait for it… 6 minutes! You get to monitor how much they eat, they get cake… everyone wins!
I am a big planner and I have already started giving some thought to what I am going to do for this babies Christening, but one thing I know I will be doing on the treats table is cake pops, donuts and brownie balls.
You can check out Lakeland’s range of cake pop machines here.
