I am so cross I didn’t come across these awesome hot/cold pads from Kikkerland earlier!
If you are a regular reader of the blog your will probably know about Toby’s tendencies to get himself into trouble and his many accidents (remember this one with the midday dash to A&E) and although he seems to have calmed down a touch he is still prone to purposefully banging his head when he is having a temper tantrum, which means bangs and bruises galore.
Bump pads (hot/cold pads) are excellent for soothing accidents & bumps, you know those minor injuries that don’t require a rush to the A&E! Problem is they are often either really clinical looking (which can be a bit intimidating to a young child) or have a generic cartoon character image that you can guarantee your child will either want to look at or will never have heard of before and will be uninterested.
These bump pads form Kikkerland are so cute and are totally generic so guaranteed to be a hit with all kids. Not to mention that but they are designed to be warmed as well as frozen (it is now recommended though that you never apply a frozen pack to your child’s skin, rather that you keep the pad refrigerated or use an additional cloth for place it on their head if it is frozen).
