At the moment I am thinking about redecorating. It’s a habit of mine, one that drives the rest of the household crazy, but I will just about finish decorating the house and then I want to start again! I can’t help it.
The main two focuses for me at this time are the boys bedroom and an office for me to work in without toddlers pulling my laptop. The boys room really isn’t such a big job, though it requires a lot (and boy do I mean a lot) of storage space. One thing I can’t abide is clutter and toys just scattered wherever, which is what we seem to be suffering of late and unfortunately Reuben has developed a taste for Transformers (thanks to his equally-enthusiastic-vintage-toy-collecting Daddy, who had a passion for transformers in the 80’s) which are difficult to put away because they are easily taken apart and small pieces go missing, which means they have to live out of the toy boxes…
Now this isn’t too much of an issue, until a certain brother enters the room, touches a transformer and is seen by the aforementioned, slightly touchy 3 year old. Que World War III with an apoplectic display of brotherly interaction. So to avoid this toddler fist fight I have been digging for something that would keep these (annoying) transformers out of the way of Toby, but displayed for Reuben (and Daddy) so he knows where they are and I can keep tabs on all the small pieces.

I love this unit, it is so stylish, but could literally be used for anything, from storing and displaying valuable toys to holding a few light books and ornaments.
