Ok I am well aware April has been and gone a couple of weeks ago BUT it’s taken me a while to get together and actually put my fingers to the keyboard. I also think I missed March… anyhoo, I had quite a few faves in April, things I haven’t tried before but I have now fallen head over heels in love with and I can’t wait to rave to you about! Let’s get into it…
My Fave read this month…
Undoubtably the Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac series for me this month. Honestly, it’s a bit left field for my usual read, my friend has been telling me to read reverse harem books for years but this was my first foray into the unknown and I have LOVED it. If you’ve seen Netflix “The Winx Saga” then imagine that, crossed with Peaky Blinders, crossed with 50 Shades of Grey and you’re somewhere close. It’s a 5 part series and all of them are out (winner as I hate waiting for the next instalment!)
My Fave fashion find…
I’ve just discovered Free Society swimwear and OH MY DAYS. The swimsuit I’m wearing looks nothing like the model and I really think their swimwear looks totally different on every body shape but you need to try it to decide if you are in absolute LOVE or it’s not for you. This swimsuit is on offer in leopard, white, RED and black… need I say more.
My fave beauty find …
Brow lamination. Ok technically I found this in May, but i’m going to include it because as someone who has long hated her brows, I’m obsessed. So much love for the brows right now. You can see them on my instagram.
My fave foodie find…
When I tell you these are NEXT level delicious… oof, they are so damn good. I could seriously eat 2/3 bags in one sitting if I gave myself the go ahead. I found them in a local international shop in Norton but they are available in every super market. The level of garlic is located somewhere between Dracula’s worst nightmare and garlic scented sniffing salts because it is SO strong. Wildly strong some may think. That’s the kind of garlic I need in my life. Mouthwash shrinks in fear when I come near it after a packet of these. So worth it. They aren’t expensive either, we’re talking less than £1 if you get the right shop.
My fave travel find…
Adding this one in this month because I strongly suspect there will be a few of you out there that just wouldn’t have put it on your list and I want you to pronto. Oslo, Norway. It was easily one of our fave city breaks ever – Adam and I went without the kids for a little couple’s break, we booked it because my in laws had asked to take the kids away for 5 days in Easter hols and we figured, instead of sitting home and moping for them, we would go and explore. The only thing I would warn is that food and booze is expensive, really expensive. A burger each and shared chips (no drinks!) cost us £35 which isn’t as bad as I feared, but still expensive enough to make you flinch so be prepped for that and if you’re after a boozy one, Norway ain’t it. Just the scenery, the fjords, the museums, everything being so compact and in close proximity to you no matter where you were was ideal. I loved every second of it.
