I’ve mentioned on Instagram recently that our garden is an absolute bomb site, mainly because we’re in the process of getting some building work started so we can’t really change anything! It’s a bit of a nightmare, the decking is faded and breaking away, the grass is a nightmare to keep on top of and we now have the added complication of losing all of the storage because we are converting our garage into an annex for my mum!
The last thing we would want if we had a family BBQ or friends over to play would be things scattered everywhere, we want to be able to enjoy our garden and not have stacks of garden appliances, but how to inject storage without having to buy some hulking garden furniture that is more of an eyesore than anything else? We didn’t want anything bulky, anything that detracted from the furniture that we already had, but instead something useful and attractive all at the same time… queue searches for “garden storage that isn’t a shed.”
Very has a fab range of garden storage and furniture that is guaranteed to spruce up any garden in time for the remainder of the summer (and possibly those World Cup party celebrations if you have a football crazy family like I do.) Speaking of football, I am loving tidying up our garden and all of the boys toys and footballs (they have so many!) with this LUSH Keter Borneo storage chest. Not only does it match our current garden furniture perfectly but it is also like a tardis – the scooters, the toys, the inflatables… they all tuck away nicely in there meaning that they are easy to get to during garden play times but perfectly hidden when the grown ups want to take over the garden. I’ve just ordered some new cushions for the seats after the last ones were mangled in the garage and these will fit in there too.
Apart from the fact that we have those lovely rattan style sofa seats, we don’t actually have anywhere else to sit in our garden. It’s common for us to just pop a blanket down on the floor and sit, picnic style, but if you have a big group of friends and family over, that is probably not the best plan! So for storage AND seating I’m adoring the Keter Eden bench. It’s perfect for the kids to sit on, great for the garden stuff that doesn’t fit in our shed or the remainder of the children’s toys – good lord they have too many toys these kids – and it fits just right on our patio!
If you are looking for storage then I really recommend thinking outside the box from the usual shed – there are so many other ways to get your garden ready for summer and those fabulous summer BBQs! It doesn’t have to cost you a bomb either, I’ve teamed up with Very and Vouchercloud to offer you £10 off your first order over £40 (across all ranges!). Use the code: TANDR10 to grab the offer until 6th July!
Get summer ready now ?
