Yup.
It’s been a long time coming this slime recipe, I get emails and comments all the time on my UK borax free slime recipe, some good, some bad but I’ve always found it works for me! It’s sticky, sure, but it WORKS. Anyway, I’ve decided to go for another slime recipe, this time a UK fluffy slime recipe for 2018 as the kids LOVE slime. Will your children get sticky and is it a good idea to wear clothes that you aren’t fond of? Probably? Will it stick to clothes? Absolutely. It seems stickier than my other slime recipe, but I don’t think that matters too much with sensory play does it? And if you are seeking to avoid that borax over the play session then really it’s a small price to pay.
Now, to clarify, all of these ingredients were bought in Feb 2018, the week before this post was written and posted the first time. The recipe has been tested by one Edith Shearsmith as you can see in the pictures – it was a thorough and complete test!
- Almat with stain lift colour liquid satchets (purple lid) OR Almat gel bio with stain lift – still works for me!
- PVA glue
- Gilette shaving gel
Squirt the shaving gel into a bowl and mix until the gel turns to foam. Set aside.
Use a new bowl for the PVA glue, adding around 1tbsp of almat (this would be 1/2 satchets, cut in the corner and squeezed out).
Mix the glue and the almat together, this will form the same slime recipe that you can find here. Then, add a handful of shaving foam, fold in and add up to another 1-2 handfuls. What you will probably find is that the more you add the stickier it gets, so go steady.
That’s it really! A super easy 3 ingredient slime recipe that avoids borax, and is fluffy and fun with everyday UK ingredients.
How much glue is it?? I just cannot get it to work as I don’t know the ratios of ingredients.
were do you get the Almat gel bio with stain lift
Aldi
